On special stereotypes in mastering the Chinese language

Abstract

The article presents an analysis of sociocultural stereotupes and their influence on the pattern of speech behaviour. It reviews cognitive and psycholinguistic researches of Chinese popular word 老外(laowai) – «foreigner». The theoretical part is supported by our analysis of associative fields formed for this stereotype.
